Experience Assessments

Professional recognition for strategic L&D leaders

Where L&D leaders, measure, benchmark, and elevate their impact

Prove Your Strategic Impact at the Executive Table

Earn peer-evaluated ACLO®, MCLO®, or FCLO® post-nominals that turn your L&D experience into formal executive credibility.

The CLO100 Experience Assessment provides formal, professional recognition for the strategic value you deliver, proving your credibility at the executive table rather than leaving it to assumption.

Through a rigorous, peer-led process moderated by Charles Jennings, your experience, commercial acumen, and business impact are assessed against a four-pillar scorecard to earn ACLO®, MCLO®, or FCLO® post-nominals.

Once awarded, these post-nominals become a permanent mark of distinction on your CV and LinkedIn. They signal to CEOs, executive boards, and the wider profession that you are a proven commercial L&D leader backed by a global community of accredited CLO100 practitioners.

In our Fellows’ words

Fellowship testimonial

I am immensely proud to be the first recipient of CLO100’s new fellowship, as its award focuses on what matters most – demonstrable business impact.

The application process was a deeply reflective and rigorous process, with emphasis on not just what I did but how I did it and why.

Having Charles Jennings moderate my application added extra validation, as his work has directly shaped my thinking and practices, and his experience as a CLO means he has an empathetic understanding of the day-to-day challenges of L&D leadership.

In an age where L&D’s impact is under unprecedented scrutiny, I would encourage other L&D leaders to pursue the fellowship as a way to validate their strategic contribution.

Professional recognition for strategic L&D leaders

Get the validation your impact deserves

You shape strategy, influence the board and move the numbers that matter. Now it’s time the wider world knew it.

The CLO100 Experience Assessment gives you formal, professional recognition for the strategic impact you have delivered. It means your credibility at the executive table is proven, recognised and transferable.

01

What it is

The Experience Assessment is a rigorous, peer-led review of your real-world experience, commercial acumen and evidence of impact. It is moderated by Charles Jennings, one of the most respected voices in organisational learning.

Rather than testing what you have studied, it recognises what you have achieved. The result is a formal credential that remains with you throughout the rest of your career.

02

How it works

Your experience is assessed against a clear scorecard, led by peers who understand the demands of senior L&D leadership. Based on that assessment, you earn one of three post-nominals.

ACLO®

Associate

For accomplished learning leaders building strategic influence.

MCLO®

Member

For leaders with a strong track record of commercial impact.

FCLO®

Fellow

For the most senior leaders shaping strategy at the highest level.

Each designation is a genuine reflection of where you are in your leadership journey.

03

Why you want it

Once awarded, your post-nominals become a permanent fixture on your CV and LinkedIn profile. They tell a clear story to the people who matter.

To CEOs and executive boards

You are a proven strategic partner, not simply a service provider.

To the wider market

You deliver measurable commercial impact through learning and organisational development.

To your peers

You belong among the most credible and respected L&D leaders in the field.

04

Join a global community

Your post-nominals also secure your place within the global community of accredited CLO100 Learning Leaders.

That means peer-powered insights, shared best practice and a network of senior leaders who understand exactly what you are navigating. You are recognised, respected and never on your own.

"One of the biggest benefits of the CLO community and the learning leaders programme especially, is meeting and working with peers. Being able to share challenges and bounce ideas around is so valuable."
